Mary Jane's Story
Life
I graduated from the University of Akron in 1973, two weeks after getting married to my husband, David. We will be married 32 years in November. I began my career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1974 and also found myself back in college part-time at Cleveland State pursuing a second major in accounting. Europe and Australia. I was a territory manager for IRS until 2007. David and I have two children. Our daughter graduated with an accounting degree from Miami University of Ohio and is a CPA at E&Y. Our son is a senior at Ohio University. I keep in touch with Mary Kukla (Baraniak) on a regular basis. I'm looking forward to the next reunion.
Workplace
I retired from IRS in November 2007 after 33 years. I now work as a senior manager, Tax Controversy for Ernst & Young in Akron.
